What FashionTube is

FashionTube is an independent curation front-end for fashion and beauty videos on YouTube. It is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.

YouTube API Services and the player

We use YouTube API Services to fetch public channel and video metadata: titles, descriptions, thumbnails, durations and dates. We do not use YouTube sign-in and never see your YouTube account.

Videos play in YouTube's own embedded player. The player is run by YouTube and is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. YouTube may set its own cookies inside it.

What stays in your browser

There are no accounts. Watch later, history, your taste profile (the channels and topics you watch most) and your language live only in your browser: local storage, plus two small cookies for the language and the side menu. The AI chat is kept in session storage and is gone when you close the tab.

None of this is sent to us, with one exception. When you ask the AI curator a question, a small part of your taste profile (top channels, topics and recent video IDs) is sent with it so the answer can fit you. It is used for that answer and not stored.

AI questions

Answers come from AI models on Cloudflare Workers AI. A question and its answer may be cached for up to 3 hours, so the same question from someone else is answered from the cache. The cache is not tied to a person. AI summaries and subtitle translations are saved per video, not per person.

Rate limits and abuse

To keep the AI features free, we count AI requests per IP address per day. The counters live in Cloudflare KV, reset at midnight New York time and are deleted automatically within 48 hours. We use Cloudflare Turnstile (invisible mode) to check that requests come from a person; its privacy terms are in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum: https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/

Hosting

FashionTube runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare handles every request, including your IP address, to serve and protect the site, and keeps short-lived operational logs. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

What we do not do

Apart from the above, we store no personal data. We do not sell data, show our own ads, or add analytics or tracking scripts.

Clearing your data

Everything FashionTube keeps about you is in your browser. To remove it, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you want a copy first, use Export on the Later or History page.
