Discover the spring/summer 2024 collection of Imane Ayissi showcased at Paris Fashion Week! The main focus of the collection is the idea of a draped and layering garment, as soon as wrapping oneself in a fabric is a primordial gesture, common to a very large part of humanity. The designer often juxtaposes traditional dress fabrics like satin and taffeta with ancestral crafts with strong prints from across Africa. Wide strips of fabric form dramatic offset bodices with train and bow details, spacious pants and pencil skirts are used as the backdrop for the tone-on-tone layered silhouettes. The runway pulsates with bright colors, under the purples, shimmering pinks and turquoise shades.
