GABRIELA HEARTS Spring 2027 Paris - Fashion Channel Gabriela Hearst’s Spring collection drew on a study of Afghan women and the country’s textile and jewelry traditions. Afghan-inspired details appeared throughout the collection, including hand-painted miniature artworks set in crystal and silver and used as buttons on tailored pieces. Shisha mirrors, traditionally associated with protection from the evil eye, decorated a white pantsuit and appeared on crochet and knit dresses, while colorful dresses reproduced motifs from Suzani and Hazara textiles through paintings by Afghan artist Sughra Hussainy. The collection also featured knit dresses with hems extending over the shoulders like shawls, long suede slip dresses in chartreuse and jade, and striped knit dresses. Small leather pouches were worn as necklace pendants, while safety-pin brooches at shirt collars were decorated with quartz, lapis lazuli and malachite beads made by artisans through Turquoise Mountain.
