Everything from the colors to the fabrics took on a thicker, more flowing feel in that perhaps represented the water and desert themes, which are common this season among the runways this season at NYFW. Colors like blues, yellows, and burnt oranges melded together in beautiful, ladylike dresses and gowns. Herrera used chiffon, georgette, organza, and tulle to make the dresses come alive. She also went for younger motifs and played with high-waist shorts in the same way that Oscar de la Renta did. And when she back to her signature elements--with those column gowns, she was still as perfect as ever.
