The NOMOS Tangente Neomatik 41 Update is one of this German manufacturer’s four original models and an icon of modern watch design. It is, without a doubt, the most famous NOMOS watch.
NOMOS has a reputation for combining fine German watchmaking with Bauhaus-inspired designs, all at affordable prices.
This particular model is an understated, classic timepiece that will never go out of fashion. It comes on a black Horween Cordovan leather. The most obvious changes between the Neomatik 41 Update and the standard edition are aesthetic. At 40.5 mm, it is slightly larger than the other Tangente models. However, it maintains the same clean dial design with a small seconds at 6 o'clock.
Perhaps the most interesting feature of this watch is its new date mechanism, which you can adjust both forward and backward. While that may sound rather simple, it's actually quite rare in mechanical watches. NOMOS has also reinterpreted the date display by creating a date ring that runs around the edge of the dial. There are openings between each number, with two red dots framing the current date. This is a great way to integrate a date display into a minimalist design.
