Ayaka Oshita, winner of the 96th Soen Award, presented her Spring/Summer 2026 collection “Metamorphose” at Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo with Global Fashion Collective. The collection featured 15 looks exploring transformation and emotional liberation. Key design elements included feather-like silhouettes, loose ribbons, torn fabrics, ivy-inspired embroidery, and wing-like details, evoking imagery of growth, change, and emergence. Several pieces incorporated floral motifs sprouting from fabric gaps, emphasizing the theme of breaking through boundaries. Handwork played a significant role in the collection, with intricate details such as hundreds of sequins carefully applied to the garments.
