http://www.thewatchbox.com/watches/ulysse-nardin The Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver Black Sea Chronograph is a potent visual statement. As a longtime supplier of the world's finest mechanical marine chronometers, the watchmaker from Le Locle built its name on precision instruments. That heritage is celebrated and elaborated in the Marine Diver Black Sea Chronograph. Despite its contemporary 46mm case size, the Black Sea Chronograph is supple and comfortable on the wrist. Ulysse Nardin employs a sophisticated vulcanized rubber wrapping technique to envelope the stainless steel case in form-fitting natural rubber. The silken feel of the material is a pure pleasure to experience against the skin, and the flawless fit (no gaps can be found even with loupe assistance) will gratify the eyes of the proud owner. Ulysse Nardin’s triple-register chronograph supplants the usual Marine power reserve and small seconds vertical axis of subdials. The date and constant (civil time) seconds are displaced to the flanks of the dial. A matte dial base reduces glare and improved legibility. The individual sub-registers are raised and finished in contrasting texture. Below the dial beats an automatic chronograph caliber derived from the thin and fine ETA 2892-A2. The 57-jewel Ulysse Nardin caliber 35 movement is tough, reliable, and well-suited to the life of a rough-and-tumble sports watch. 200-meter (660-foot) water resistance ensures that the machinery stays high-and-dry no matter how deep
