Gucci's Spring 2025 show at Milan's Triennale was a spectacle of "casual grandeur," blending European sophistication with American ease. Creative director Sabato De Sarno, a year into his tenure, stayed true to the brand’s roots, showcasing a collection that featured a balance of easy sportswear and timeless tailoring. From Jackie Kennedy-inspired looks to bold accessories, De Sarno reasserted Gucci's iconic codes while injecting fresh energy with street-style influences and modern twists. On the runway, we saw zip-front jackets in menswear fabrics, horsebit jacquard blouson sets, and lingerie-inspired lace slipdresses. Accessories were front and center, with the 1947 Bamboo bag reimagined, along with customized pieces by Japanese artists. The finale featured statement coats, including a trench coat styled with baggy jeans, a GG belt, and a red-and-green-trimmed tank top. The star-studded audience, including Daisy Edgar-Jones, Dakota Johnson, and Jin from BTS, added to the glamorous atmosphere, while Mark Ronson’s music set the perfect tone for the show.
