Vintage in Pills ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Fall 1996 Paris - Fashion Channel Alexander McQueen’s Autumn/Winter 1996 collection, titled “Dante,” was presented at Christ Church in Spitalfields during London Fashion Week on 1 March 1996. Inspired by war and peace through the years, the collection featured knee-length dresses, turtlenecks with sheer inserts, sculpted jackets, fur-trimmed coats and asymmetrical lace dresses. Denim appeared for the first time on a McQueen runway, paired with vests printed with Vietnam War photographs by Don McCullin.
