For Cecilie Bahnsen, there’s an undeniable beauty in the fleeting and the imperfect. Inspired by the transitory nature of flowers—perfect in full bloom yet already beginning to decay—Bahnsen embraces the idea of evolution, both in her designs and her creative process. “You can’t control it, it will evolve, and everyone will interpret it differently,” she shared backstage, reflecting on her vision for the season.
To bring this concept to life, Bahnsen enlisted musician Yuki Tsujii for a live performance, while Danish artist Tal R’s Untitled Flowers series was printed on silver paper, scattered throughout the venue. The artwork, crinkling as guests moved around, reflected the idea of impermanence and change.
As the brand nears its 10-year anniversary, Bahnsen took a moment to revisit her archives, deepening her understanding of her brand’s DNA. It’s not just about ethereal dresses—it’s about layering, soft utility, and a Scandinavian no-nonsense sensibility that adds structure to the fluidity.
This season, Bahnsen focused on the way clothes work with the body. Her utility-inspired vests, with lacing and adjustable panels, embraced movement and allowed wearers to feel truly themselves. Alongside floaty dresses and poofy miniskirts, there was a strong emphasis on outerwear, a category that has become a growing cornerstone of her collections.
