Ojoba Women's Cooperative | Empowered Women in Ghana

The Ojoba Women’s Shea Butter Cooperative is made up of 517 rural village women. They must cope with poor, rocky soil, unreliable rains, and little public infrastructure. However, The Ojoba Women’s Cooperative is a place for women to feel empowered and to reap economic benefits by producing high quality Shea Butter. The women come together to socialise, to learn skills they can use to support their families, and to feel part of a community. Atampoka, of the Ojoba Women’s Collective, says “It unites us. It makes us feel like we are a family. We love one another.” Learn more on the Lush Player: https://goo.gl/vWSquj
