Since that, we have DJed together, played events and curated playlists.” “There’s something unspoken about having the presence of other people that you love around you, doing something that you all love together.“ In this film, director Irene Baqué tells the story of Creole Cuts, the creative collective formed by DJs and close friends Anja Ngozi, Jodie Yates and Rabiah Saud. Watch the trio spin their favourite records and explain how their shared passion for music helps them to support and celebrate each other. Enjoy listening to the sounds of the African diaspora as the women detail their experiences of growing up mixed race in Britain. “Our Sisterhood” is a series of films that explore the power of female tribes, focusing on three different groups of women, who have found comfort, support and joy in being a part of a strong sisterhood.
