The festival jury is also made of filmmakers, actors, and others and awards the Étoiles d'or or Golden Stars to the best Moroccan production, best foreign film, and to short films. The chairman of the festival is Prince Moulay Rachid. There are plenty of other guests on the red carpet as well, including French film director Jean-Jacques Annaud and Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko from the 22nd James Bond movie.
