Their deep passion for ancient knowledge, for gestures and hygiene and beauty habits shared by peoples all over the world, took shape in 2014 with the opening of Officine Universelle Buly at 6 rue Bonaparte, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. A bulwark against the disappearance of the world’s heritage of beauty expertise, expressed through simple and precious products—effective, respectful, sober or legendary, infused with history and travel. In 2019, the Louvre Museum, a temple of French refinement and a prism of universal art, proposed an exceptional collaboration with Officine: eight renowned perfumers interpreted as many emblematic works, paintings or sculptures from the museum through bespoke fragrances.
