A total of $3.5 million was raised at the event, where Goldie Hawn, Aileen Getty and clothing company Hugo Boss were honored for their contributions to AIDS research. Chelsea Handler hosted the event, with Sharon Stone announcing that Getty donated another $1 million on the spot. Sharon Stone told us, "I'm very excited about presenting an award to Aileen Gatty who is Elizabeth Taylor's Daughter-in-law because Aileen [Getty] has been such a model of a person who is HIV positive and who has done so much and because she is such an emblem of what Elizabeth did and stood for and the kind of compassion and courage that she has and that still continues today."
