Herno L.I.B.R.A.R.Y - Let Imagination Break Rules And Reveal Yourself. 2018 marks two important anniversaries for Herno. L.I.B.R.A.R.Y. is the installation inside the Leopolda Station that recounts the 70 years since its foundation and the 50 years it has been in Japan. In keeping with the brand's tendency to organise projects which, like its garments, cleverly combine practicality, tradition and innovation with a declared passion for artistic avant-gardism and patronage of young designers, L.I.B.R.A.R.Y. is a journey using archive content from the factory in Lesa, where Herno is based. Dating from the end of the 1800s, the archives recreate, bit by bit, a taste of this in the Leopolda nave. A taste refreshed by the liberal interpretation of students from the Polimoda and Osaka Institute of Fashion, amplified by the conceptual vision of the Studio Azzurro, masterminded by the creativity and management of the Anomalia Studio, and under the auspices of the Florence City Council and Pitti Immagine, with an outstanding soundtrack by the Maestro Gianandrea Noseda. Of the many cities where Herno is present today around the world, Florence was chosen for this anniversary following its first participation at Pitti in 1971 with Giuseppe Marenzi, a small step in the direction of success of its outerwear.
