For second episode of The Refresh Sessions we asked creative director and stylist JeanPaul Paula to customize his Tommy clothes. This time we create a zip-up overall from a denim jeans and a Tommy t-shirt.
What you'll need for this:
- Denim jeans
- A t-shirt
- A Tommy Jeans patch
- 1,5 meter zipper
- Sewing machine
- White yarn
- Blue yarn
- Scissors
- Chalk
- Pins
This is how you make your own zip-up overall:
- Turn the jeans and the t-shirt inside out
- Place both front sides to the front
- The denim should be inside the t-shirt
- Pin the t-shirt to the jeans
- Pull the t-shirt tight and clamp it so it stays in place
- Turn the suit back to its good side through the head of the t-shirt
- Place the zipper on the denim and the t-shirt
- Pin the zipper to the jeans and t-shirt
- Open the zipper and chalk a line to see where you'll be opening the suit
- Cut the denim and the t-shirt
- Open the zipper and sew each side to the jeans
- Sew the t-shirt to the denim and you're done
Stay tuned for his other creations in the third and final video!
