In this Split Seconds, Tim pitches Jason a "This or That" between the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller and the Grand Seiko SBGH Hi-Beat 36000 Professional. For the full episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjzvjZY3tS4 In the full episode, Tim Mosso and Jason Mane answer questions about collecting luxury watches from Rolex, Grand Seiko, Zenith watches, and Jaeger LeCoultre. The opening bout concerns Jason's choice of Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea Dweller 126600 or the Grand Seiko Hi-Beat 36000 Professional 600m Diver's SBGH257 limited edition of 500 pieces. The Rolex Sea Dweller "43" is the 50th anniversary salute to Rolex's flagship dive watch and the model family that popularized the helium escape valve for dive watches. Unveiled at Baselworld 2017, the Rolex Sea Dweller 126600 features the evocative "Red" Sea Dweller dial script and the first use of the Rolex "Cyclops Eye" date magnifier on a Sea Dweller model. The Grand Seiko Hi-Beat 36000 Professional 600m Diver's is a 46mm titanium dive watch from Japan's most accomplished watch power, Seiko-Epson. Built and finished by hand, the Grand Seiko SBGH257 also launched at Baselworld 2017. Its blue hobnail dial and 9S85 high-beat automatic caliber ensure that the SBGH257 is both handsome and technically impressive. The Sea Dweller offers a longer warranty, but the Grand Seiko features a lower price and added accessory silicone strap.
