Rolex Middle Sea Race 2026 – Underway From Grand Harbour

The 2026 Rolex Middle Sea Race commenced on Saturday 17 October with an international fleet of 107 yachts embarking on one of offshore sailing’s most revered contests. Founded in 1968, this 606-nautical-mile race is organized by the Royal Malta Yacht Club and Rolex has been Title Sponsor since 2002. Following the start from Valletta’s historic Grand Harbour, competitors take on a scenic and challenging racecourse comprising an anticlockwise circumnavigation of Sicily and passing two active volcanoes. Frequent changes in geography and direction bring constant shifts in wind conditions and sea state.
