A collaboration with modernist designer Werner Asslinger has produced the new 41mm stainless steel Autobahn sports watch for enthusiasts of driving, swimming, and even cycling (per NOMOS). The Baselworld novelty Autobahn features a concave outer dial that recalls historical banked race tracks such as Monza, Brooklands, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Vintage Porsche, NSU, and Mercedes sports cars are recalled by the NOMOS Autobahn's partially-calibrated dial (like a vintage speedometer), radially arrayed numerals (like a vintage tachometer), and open aperture triple-date that acts as a surrogate for automotive odometers. Nomos describes the hands of its 2018 Autobahn watch as inspired by vintage dashboard instruments in their own right. The Autobahn is powered by an automatic NOMOS in-house caliber DUW 6101 with 27 jewels, a free-sprung balance, and 100-meter water resistance courtesy of a screw-down crown and the 41mm stainless steel case. The NOMOS Autobahn Watch will retail for $4,800 U.S. Separately, NOMOS releases its Tetra "Petit Four" collection of stainless steel dress watches in the unisex 29.5mm x 29.5mm case size. A NOMOS caliber Alpha manual-wind powers the new Tetras; new models include dials in Azure blue, Grenadine Red, Pink Pearl, and MATCHA green tea. Prices range from $2,080 dollars for solid
