Hot Fossil Summer with DJ Sober | Live Mix + Playlist

Dallas legend DJ Sober (aka Will Rhoten) has been shaping the city’s sound for over two decades with vinyl-rich, genre-blending sets that move effortlessly through hip-hop, soul, funk, dance, indie, and global grooves. To celebrate the launch of Hot Fossil Summer, we recorded this live set at Herby’s Burgers—a neighborhood spot in Elmwood/Oak Cliff owned by DJ Sober himself. Named after his real-life sidekick, Herby the dog (a local legend in his own right), the restaurant serves up drool-worthy smash burgers and boasts one of the best jukeboxes in Dallas. “I compiled this playlist with songs that I’ve been listening to lately, whether that’s on my own time or in a club setting. I included a variety of old and new tracks that I wanted to share in this particular order. Hope y’all enjoy!” - DJ Sober This mix is a live preview of the full two-hour playlist he mixed exclusively for us. Designed to be played in order, it’s sun-drenched, high-vibe, and packed with the kind of energy that makes summer stick in your memory. 🎶 Keep it going. Full playlist’s waiting on Spotify—link in the description. DJ Sober is wearing the Fossil Harlow watch.
