During his Spring/Summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week, Shoji showcased stunning handcrafted pieces with intricate Venetian details, one right after another. The collection consists of conservative silhouettes and necklines that hugged the models' bodies, displaying a woman's perfect shape. Bold red, dark purple, nude and black were the trendier colors of the evening. Inspiration came from the designer's travels from Venice to the Middle East and embroidered designs from different cultures around the world. Lace shorts and loose blouses were created for the ideal warm weather. Models walked down the runway in very relaxed girly silhouettes, elegant necklines, capped sleeves, ikat prints, weightless chiffon and intricate beading all representing classic Venetian architecture and modern fashion.
