Whenever I have to design evening wear, I take refuge in old cinema. The 20s, the 40s and the 50s have been eras that I constantly revisit. Stories of Merle Oberon, songs of Edith Piaf, black and white portraits of Bette Davis, Greta Garbo, Zsa Zsa Gábor, Katherine Hepburn and Rita Hayworth have probably shaped my imagination of evening wear.
