Tessa Thompson on Shopping Vintage, Red Carpet Style & Gatekeeping | The Good Buy | Harper's BAZAAR

Tessa Thompson has always approached fashion as a form of storytelling. In this episode of ‘The Good Buy,’ the actress, producer, and style icon sits down with Harper’s BAZAAR to unpack the pieces, people, and places that have shaped her unique personal aesthetic— from the vintage Vivienne Westwood skirt suit once owned by a famed photographer to the image of Pee-wee Herman sporting a pair of high heels. Watch as Tessa reflects on her lifelong love of thrifting and vintage shopping, shares why Prince and Mrs. Roper from ‘Three’s Company’ remain some of her greatest style inspirations, and reveals the designer purchase that marked her arrival on the red carpet. She also opens up about her collection of Portuguese gloves, her dream Maison Margiela archival pieces, and the inspiration behind the costumes from some of her most fashion-forward films.
