RICK OWENS Fall 2026 Menswear Paris - Fashion Channel For his latest collection, Rick Owens drew inspiration from police uniforms, exploring the tension between authority and satire. He examined tactical shirting, super-cropped flight jackets, and biker silhouettes, circling a central question: epaulettes or not? Owens ultimately skipped traditional insignia, instead leaving grommeted webbing patches on the shoulders—exaggerated, practical, and slightly absurd. The silhouettes were skinny but gained volume through cropped cloaklets, tactical-armour hybrids, and layered jackets in leather, Kevlar, wool, felt, shearling, and canvas. Throat snatches and paper-boat-like shoulder extensions blurred the line between lawman and outlaw. Models emerged from sage-scented dry ice like moody wraiths, their presence heightened by boots and padded braces. Owens, who designs alone without a dedicated studio, has embraced collaboration more openly this season. He credited artisans and creatives who contributed: marbled, stiffened wool jackets from a Himalayan atelier in Rajasthan; color-washed gothic cashmere coats by @straytukay; hand-knit cut-out sweaters by @sarutanya; and floor-length waxed-cord masks by @lucas___moretti.
