In Milan's expansive former fairgrounds, Zegna delivered a masterclass in luxury, precision, and craftsmanship. Artistic director Alessandro Sartori's Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Vellus Aureum, celebrated the pursuit of the finest wool in the world—highlighted by a display of the world-record wool fleece, at an astonishing 9.4 microns. The collection’s name, inspired by the mythical Golden Fleece, perfectly embodied Zegna's commitment to excellence, honoring founder Ermenegildo Zegna's 1963 Wool Trophy Awards, which supported woolgrowers globally. From high-waisted, beltless trousers to oversized jackets and deconstructed suits, Sartori reimagined Zegna's signature Italian elegance with a modern, nonchalant attitude. With luxurious fabrics like cashmere, corduroy, and silk, the collection radiated timeless sophistication, underscored by innovative, relaxed silhouettes. Influenced by the style of Turin, Zegna's hometown, Sartori presented designs that exuded casual Italian chic—think generous proportions, boxy cuts, and rich textures.
