http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK - Watch as models get ready for the Doo.ri Spring 2012 runway show at this season's New York Fashion week. Makeup artist Tom Pecheux wanted the models' skin and face to look very matte; a nude palette of color was used. Models wore a soft nude beige color blush and a creamy peach lipstick. Stylists gave the models metallic gold eyelids, highlighted cheekbones using powder to magnify everything, and put their hair up in ponytails. Fashion model Kendra Spears, Seattle-bred and a recent graduate, speaks with FashionTV backstage at Doo.ri. In a little over three years, Spears has made a face for herself in the modeling industry and has been featured in fashion spreads of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Spears has also been named a rising star in both Teen Vogue and Style.com. "There are so many different aspects of modeling," says Spears. "One day we're doing runways and the next we're doing photo shoots and those are two totally different worlds. Basically we're creating an image for our clients and we're part of that along with the photographer, the hair and makeup, the clothing and the stylist -- it's all a big collaboration to create an idea around a brand." Fashion Designer Doo-Ri Chung describes her collection as languid, soft, and elegant.
