PIERRE CARDIN Spring 2025 Paris Full Show - Fashion Channel Step into the future with the Pierre Cardin Spring 2025 collection, where Creative Director Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin draws inspiration from the house’s iconic Space Age heritage. The show kicks off with retro-futuristic looks in metallic blue, including a bold jumpsuit with jodhpur-style legs, thigh cutouts, and a striking upturned-bowl hat. As the collection evolves, the focus shifts to more wearable, modern pieces made from recycled polyester, such as an asymmetric cape dress, slim pantsuits, and a chic trapeze dress. The collection also experiments with sheer fabrics and sleek, minimalist silhouettes, like a coffee-colored wool crepe column dress with sheer panels. Through the Pierre Cardin Young Designer Contest, Basilicati-Cardin brought in emerging talent from around the world, infusing the show with fresh ideas while staying rooted in the brand’s archival DNA. Unconventional styling and modern-day references—such as models taking selfies on the runway and futuristic tape designs—added a playful commentary on our digital world. The collection dazzled with a space-inspired flair, but the overall landing felt incomplete. Special guest Isabeli Fontana was in the front row, showing off her hoop skirt that circled like Saturn's rings, capturing the playful spirit of the evening.
