NAMILIA Best Looks Fall 2024 Berlin - Fashion Channel For the third time, designers Nan Li and Emilia Pfohl presented their bold and unapologetic Namilia collection at Berlin Fashion Week, and it did not disappoint. Set against the backdrop of Berlin's Kulturforum, this Fall 2024 showcase titled “Paws Away” (“Pfoten Weg”) drew in a diverse crowd of techno kids, TV celebrities, and fashion heavyweights. The collection was inspired by the ongoing conflict between expressing one’s true self and the need for safety in a world rife with misogyny and trans- and queer-phobia. Camouflage prints, typically meant for blending in, were ironically used on pieces designed to stand out—short stretch outfits, pink metallic mesh dresses, and shredded skirts reminiscent of 2000s party looks. Military elements like helmets, gloves, and moss-covered coats heightened the sense of both protection and rebellion. Surprising the audience, the show also featured voluminous couture-like dresses, reflecting the collection's message of balancing freedom and protection.
