What does it take to make a Tudor watch? We went inside the brand’s manufacture to follow the process from raw metal to a finished watch ready for the wrist.
This behind-the-scenes visit looks at the people, tools, and decisions involved at every stage of production. We see cases taking shape through precision machining, components being prepared and inspected, dials fitted, movements assembled, and completed watches subjected to a demanding series of performance and quality-control tests. It is a process that combines specialized machinery with the judgment and dexterity of trained watchmakers.
The film also offers a closer look at how Tudor produces watches at scale without losing sight of the details that define the final product. Technology plays a major role, but so do human observation, repetition, and experience—particularly when tolerances are measured in fractions of a millimeter.
Join Hodinkee inside Tudor’s manufacture for a step-by-step view of modern Swiss watch production. Rather than beginning with the finished object, we start with its individual parts and follow the work required to bring them together. The result is a practical look at what “manufacture” actually means when thousands of small decisions must add up to one reliable watch.
