#BehindTheMask - Rahul Mishra

Having taken a step back from his otherwise demanding work life, Rahul Mishra is giving in to the simple pleasures. Off camera, the extraordinary designer, whose striking creations have helped him carve a niche in this exacting fashion industry, is indeed a simple man who enjoys the company of his family and looks to nature for inspiration. In his prototype face mask, graceful motifs and simple patterns take over the top layer of the mask through block printing, the ancient fabric printing technique. He has produced it by using leftover natural fabrics from his earlier design projects. Mishra chooses to do away with the two elastic bands that go over the ears, instead, designing the mask with just one that can simply be put behind the head.
