At the Salvatore Ferragamo Fall/Winter 2012-13 fashion show, hundreds gathered to see what Italian fashion designer, Massimiliano Giornetti had in store for this Fall. Backstage, we spoke with actress Sonam Kapoor as she told FashionTV, "I expect it to be incredible and fun and beautiful, there is always a lot of drama in Fall/Winter looks." A Russian-inspired hairstyle was the main trend backstage, where the models sported a very strict and sleek braided updo along with a middle part. Top model Joan Smalls was there to tell FashionTV what she thought, "The show is extremely beautiful and exciting", she says. We finally caught up with the talented designer himself, "For this Fall/Winter collection, we went into a Russian inspiration, like a parade, starting with the woman being very chic, very elegant, very sharp. It becomes more romantic, more fragile, but what I love about this collection is the great work of craftsmanship, tradition, heritage, quality and the finishing", Giornetti tells us. Ferragamo's design team completed a job well done, collaborating officer jackets, leather, pencil skirts, military blazers and a mix of chiffon and lace.
