The first diamond-set balance wheel in modern watchmaking. Introducing the Brilliant Flying Tourbillon Baguette Pastel Arlequino, a new expression of high watchmaking where technical innovation meets high jewelry. The concept was born during an R&D meeting, from Jacob’s curiosity about what could happen when diamonds meet one of the movement’s most critical regulating components. For the first time, 54 brilliant-cut white diamonds are set directly onto the balance wheel, one of the movement’s most critical regulating components. As it oscillates at 3 Hz alongside the one-minute flying tourbillon, the diamonds continuously catch the light, creating the illusion of a luminous halo in motion. The technical innovation is framed by an equally intricate high-jewelry composition. The 42 mm 18K white gold case and dial are invisibly set with 366 pastel baguette-cut sapphires, arranged in contrasting shades of green, blue, lavender, and pink, alongside white diamonds. The Arlequino pattern takes its name from the ordered, colorful geometry of Arlecchino’s iconic costume. Inside, the new self-winding JCFA02 caliber combines a flying tourbillon with a micro-rotor and delivers a 72-hour power reserve. Its bridges are set with a further 234 brilliant-cut white diamonds, echoing the diamond-set balance wheel at the heart of the movement. Born from a simple question and created as a Pièce Unique. #jacobandco #inspiredbytheimpossible
