George Mayer, WatchBox's Director of Sales and Watch Buying, sits down with industry insider Paul Boutros, Senior Vice President and Head of Watches, Americas at Phillips Auction House. The duo starts out discussing how the global lockdowns have affected the auction market, and a conversation about the trajectory of pre-owned and vintage watch sales in recent years ensues. They also talk about the rise of independent watchmakers like Roger W. Smith and Rexhep Rexhepi. George and Paul dive into new timepieces recently released that caught their eyes; including a shared favorite release: the new F.P. Journe Resonance. The Audemars Piguet Remastered Chronograph, Vacheron Constantin Overseas Skeleton, Piaget Ultimate Concept, and the Cartier Tank Asymétrique are all also examined.
