He introduced waist-defining blazer jackets inspired by "Jazz Age men's tailoring," lending a touch of timeless elegance to the collection. The spirit of that era also resurfaced in column dresses with apron-like fronts and double shoulder straps, complemented by an abundance of fringe. At the heart of this collection was the artist Augusta Savage, whose work Mohapatra sees as having a unique synergy with the renowned Simone Leigh, the United States' representative at the 2022 Venice Biennale.
