Tinted SPF vs Sunscreen vs Moisturizer With SPF: How to Choose | L'Oréal Paris

Tinted SPF vs sunscreen vs moisturizer with SPF: a tinted product like a foundation with SPF adds complexion coverage, a standalone sunscreen is your dedicated daily UV layer, and a moisturizer with SPF combines hydration and sun protection in one step. A foundation with SPF is applied in much lighter amounts than sunscreen, so it should not be your only daily sun protection. Elwa Saleh compares all three with L'Oréal Paris so you can choose the right one, or layer them. Elwa starts with the Infallible 32 Hour Fresh Wear Foundation, a lightweight, longwear foundation with broad spectrum SPF 25, applied to one section of the face (shades include 420 True Beige, 425 Linen, 445 Vanilla and 455 Natural Buff). Because it is a foundation, it goes on in much lighter amounts than a regular sunscreen, so it should not be relied on as your only standalone daily sun protection. Next she applies the Bright Reveal Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Daily UV Lotion, a lightweight fluid facial sunscreen with an invisible, no white cast finish, and walks through application and reapplication according to the product directions. Then she uses the Revitalift Triple Power Anti-Aging Moisturizer with SPF 30, a clinically tested face, neck and chest moisturizer with Pro-Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C that visibly reduces the look of wrinkles, fine lines and neck crepiness, improves the look of firmness along the face and jawline, and brightens dull-looking skin.
