Jesse Plemons' Favorite Birthday Involved a 30-Hour Train Ride | Birthday Stories | W Magazine

In this episode of 'Birthday Stories', actor Jesse Plemons reflects on his favorite birthday -- an impromptu train trip with best friends. What better way is there to turn 22. Transcript I think it was my 22nd birthday, and we had just moved in to this new place, me and a couple of my best friends, and we were trying to figure out what to do, and we decided, one night, very late, we're like (claps) we're gonna take a train to Texas, we're gonna take a train to Austin, and it's totally impractical. And it wasn't even cheaper than a flight, and it takes -something hours. But we happened to sit next to this guy, Patrick Savan, who still texts me every now and then, but he had been taking the trains ever since he was a kid. So we had our own tour guide, and we snuck on a little bottle of something something, and it was just so much fun. And then had another celebration in Austin. But we made it to Texas, yeah, we made it to Austin. I was in decent shape.
