Dotted with ritzy hotels, museums, bars and shops- most existing in varying degrees of fading, decrepit splendour- it is a window to the halcyon days of Calcutta; where ladies in coiffured hair, organza sarees and cross-cultural diamond jewellery played bridge and mahjong in private clubs. Brilliant, mutual and rose cut diamonds are eclectically paired with emeralds, tourmalines, yellow sapphires, moonstones, and a cache of unusual natural stones, to create a classic collection of necklaces and earrings that marry distinct vintage Calcutta vibes with modern eclecticism.
