FashionTV got up close and personal with the man behind the magic, as he revealed his take on the new season's look: "The Ricci woman was much more provocative and much stronger this season," says Copping. "[The collection] came very much from a personal perspective; from my life in Paris. And I wanted to contrast that with my British roots, because people always ask me what it's like being English and designing for a French house." The collection was a fierce contrast of Parisian chic mixed with dominatrix sultress, as the use of fishnet patterns, bondage harnesses, and leathers helped Copping to redefine his vision of the Ricci woman. The Spring 2013 Nina Ricci wardrobe was dominantly black, interspersed with pastel metallics, pink, and polka dots.
