The designer celebrated his Spring/Summer 2013 collection with a wedding party, having guests sit around enjoying coffee and ice sponge cakes while his models paraded up and down the catwalk in bouche fabrics, tweeds and almond shades. The vibe was bad girls attempting elegance, in Marras’ words, Vivian girls which comes from the photographs of artist Henry Darger. Inspiration came from pop sex culture and combining that with Queen Elizabeth II elegance and romance. Models walked around the tables in floral dresses, cocoon coats, Swarovski embellishments, bustier tops, short shorts, camo jackets, silk linens and patchwork vests. The stunning ladies sported pale faces along with smokey black eyes and messy French updos.
