PDA stands for “Public Display of Application.” We were inspired by a simple sign in the NYC subways that tells us it’s not ok to “makeup” in public. So we conducted research and found out that more than half of women who wear makeup feel uncomfortable doing their makeup in public. As stories of makeup shaming continue to pop up in our newsfeeds, it’s clear there is a rising tension in makeup shaming in today’s culture. COVERGIRL’s POV is that there’s nothing wrong with a little PDA.
