Van Cleef & Arpels’ poetic vision of time | A tender courtship unfolds by the water 🕊️

Soft ripples spread across the basin of the Fontaine aux Oiseaux automaton as a dragonfly rises into the air. Adorned with sapphires, emeralds, garnets and lapis lazuli, two birds awaken and draw closer in a graceful courtship display. From delicate water lily petals to plique-à-jour enamel and lacquer work, each detail evokes nature's enchantment. Finely articulated mechanisms lend the scene its remarkably lifelike movements, revealing Van Cleef & Arpels' poetic vision of time.
