"Well, he can cut a mean pair of trousers, can’t he?" New York designer Peter Do made his highly anticipated Paris Fashion Week debut this morning, bringing his innovative collection to the European stage for the first time.
Known for his meticulous approach to fashion, Do aimed to showcase his skills and distinct vision, drawing a clear line from his recent Helmut Lang show back in New York.
Peter Do’s Paris show marked a bold statement with his focus on creating "grown-up clothes." Eschewing the playful short-shorts seen elsewhere, Do presented blazers cut into horizontal sections with silk twill lining featuring subtle logos.
His jackets and blazers, often tucked into trousers or featuring midriff-cropped designs, emphasized a sophisticated yet edgy aesthetic.
Standout pieces included trousers with vertical slices revealing bold red underlayers and elegantly draped halter dresses with provocative sheer insets and graceful backs.
Also featured were items from his upcoming Banana Republic collaboration, set to hit stores on October 10.
This included a versatile khaki trench with a removable shearling collar and a chunky ribbed sweater, adding a relaxed yet refined touch to the collection.
Do’s work continues to push boundaries, blending practical design with high fashion.
Catch all the highlights from Peter Do’s groundbreaking Paris debut, and see why his commitment to serious clothing design is turning heads. Don’t for
