NINA RICCI Fall 2026 Best Looks Paris - Fashion Channel Harris Reed’s Fall 2026 collection for Nina Ricci revisited the world of Marie Antoinette through a distinctly contemporary lens, drawing on Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette as an early influence on the designer. Reed described the concept as “Marie Antoinette goes to Glastonbury,” blending eighteenth-century extravagance with the energy of British music culture. The collection juxtaposed sharp jacquard pantsuits in pastel florals and metallic animal prints with corsets, crinoline-inspired skirts and elaborate footwear. Corsets were reworked into more casual combinations, layered over T-shirts and slip skirts or paired with velour tracksuits and sculptural belts. Cinched jackets with double lapels referenced Nina Ricci’s 1950s archive, while the collection also drew inspiration from Gérard Pipart’s costume sketches for a ballet interpretation of Cinderella. With its collision of historical references, rock-inspired styling and hyper-feminine details, the collection explored maximalism as a form of escapism, bringing together the theatricality of the French court with a more contemporary, rebellious attitude.
