DIOR HOMME Fall 2026 Menswear Paris - Fashion Channel Jonathan Anderson’s Fall 2026 collection for Dior assembled a collage of historical and contemporary references into a conceptually charged yet wearable lineup. The show opened with reworked upper portions of a 1922 Poiret dress, paired with jeans and Cuban-heeled boots, establishing a dialogue between archival couture and modern streetwear. Tailoring explored moments of structural collapse and transformation: fringe-edged, double-breasted houndstooth jackets were sharply cropped; single-breasted black jackets were hyper-shrunken to reveal the hipbone; tailcoats were recast as cable knits; round-neck wool sweaters extended to ankle length. Butterfly-pattern jacquard trousers and cape-like panels for parkas and topcoats drew on Poiret’s archive fabrics, while cropped puffers curved cocoon-like from shoulder to coccyx. Details like ruff collars, shearling cuffs, and unexpected proportions disrupted familiarity, creating a playful tension between historic formality and modern eccentricity. Throughout, fabrics, scale, and construction combined to reinterpret traditional menswear shapes and offer new options for women, blending archival inspiration with contemporary utility and theatricality.
