Pioneering neuroscientist and 2019 Rolex Awards Laureate Grégoire Courtine is redefining what is possible in the treatment of devastating spinal cord injuries. As part of our Perpetual Planet Initiative, he recalls the encounters that inspired him, as a young scientist, to dedicate his life to helping paralysed people walk again.
