BORA AKSU Spring 2027 Best Looks London - Fashion Channel Bora Aksu Spring 2027 drew inspiration from 17th-century painter Mary Beale, combining romantic dresses with references to historical menswear. The collection opened with pastoral bridal looks featuring puff sleeves, lace-trimmed ruffles and broderie anglaise, followed by trench coats, tailored pieces, bib harnesses, apron ties and cummerbund-style sashes. The final looks introduced deep oxblood tones, exposed corsetry and yarn details arranged across the body. Intricate lacework was central to the collection, including a traditional silk-thread technique discovered by Aksu in Gaziantep, Turkey, where local women create patterns by pulling individual threads from the fabric. Previously used for household textiles, the technique was incorporated into fashion for the first time.
