AREA Fall 2026 Best Looks New York - Fashion Channel

AREA Fall 2026 Best Looks New York - Fashion Channel For his sophomore collection as creative director of Area, Nicolas Aburn explored the idea of magic, glamour and the power of self-expression. The Fall/Winter 2026 collection mixed celebration dressing with playful everyday references, creating a wardrobe where familiar pieces were transformed through exaggerated proportions and unexpected details. Denim jackets were wrapped with oversized belts that turned into bows, rugby sweaters featured elongated draped hems, and vintage silk scarves were reworked into colourful looks. Personal references also appeared in a hoodie transformed through wrapping and tying techniques. The collection embraced an extravagant '80s-inspired glamour through experimental materials and theatrical textures: vintage T-shirts became feather-like embellishments, magnetic cassette tape was turned into ruching and ruffles, while ribbons, jewels and layers of tulle added a sense of movement and spectacle. Backward ruffled lamé dresses, reversed polos, miniskirts and Pop Art-inspired sequined separates completed a playful and imaginative vision for the season. Be one of the first to see new videos.
