It was so loud that it almost became bubblegum pop, but one can still see the technique in the way Preen makes their clothing, despite the loud color distraction. Thea Bregazzi and Justin Thornton said their inspiration for this Spring/Summer 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week was Virginia Woolf for her strong woman prowess, but one could hardly tell with the cartoonish formality of the getups. "We wanted to time-travel a bit and modernize it," Bregazzi said. Aside from this Preen was mostly a girly girl collection using all of the pretty feminine tricks including lace, ruffles, and Peter Pan collars.
