Inspired by the Black Panthers and photographs of their private lives, Priya Ahluwalia considered joy as a form of resistance. The collection combined tailored pieces with sporty elements from her ongoing collaboration with Puma, using construction and silhouette rather than heavy embellishment as its main focus. Key looks included trousers with wraparound panels, satin tops finished with cummerbund-like hems, blousons with split sleeves and blazers with double-panel fronts. Jacquard knitwear featured patterns inspired by the architecture of FESTAC ’77, the Pan-African festival held in Lagos. A bespoke mural depicting bodies of water connecting continents formed the runway backdrop, reflecting themes of migration, cultural identity and human connection.
